He (her father) figured out I'm not going to see anything on the inside and if I did, I could still turn on it. It seems like that's just what teams do because they figure you are weaker hitting the outside pitch.
My stuff today was OK, but some of my pitches got up on me. Other than that I felt pretty good. It takes a lot of stress off me when we get a big lead.
I was hoping for better. But it feels good and I'll take it.
The past couple days, I've been swinging out of my shoes. But I tried just to focus more and get the bat on the ball. My dad always says if I get a hold of it without over-swinging, it will go. Sometimes I just get so excited that I swing crazy, but that doesn't work.
It seems it's always one or the other. Lately, it seems like my pitching has been on. Hopefully (the hit) will turn it around.
I'm used to it. It doesn't bother me.
I felt really focused and determined. Being a district game got me really psyched up and I had extra adrenaline going.
