When you think about the Super Bowl, you imagine yourself coming and playing your best football, and it wasn't that way.

I feel that I'm not losing the game for our team. I'm trying to give us the best opportunity to win the football game. I did everything I could to lose the Jets game but we won. And the Patriots game, I didn't play well. I think that this year, I just come out and play smart football. I would say that when Heath is at his best is when we get inside the 20-yard line. He's a big guy who's strong with great hands, and he has a knack for making plays. When you area quarterback and you get out of the pocket and are scrambling around and you can find a 6-foot-5 tight end with beautiful hands, it's a good thing.

I talked to Dan Marino. He told me to stay focused and that I'd get butterflies and be nervous and that there would be anxious feelings, but to make sure I stayed under control and not let it get the best of me. He said to enjoy it, have fun, because you never know if it's going to come back.

Matt is a phenomenal quarterback. He's a great leader. He's very good with his feet and he has a great arm. He always seems to know what he's doing, making sure his offense has the best play possible.

You go out and you try to do a little too much instead of playing within yourself and playing within the system. The thing this year is to try not to make mistakes you made last year. (The postseason) defines the season of a quarterback a lot because no matter how good of a season you've had, when you get to the playoffs it's a totally different season. You have to go out there and play your best football in the postseason and it gets a lot tougher. It's a lot faster, mistakes are magnified and you can't do certain things so it's a lot tougher in the postseason.

This is the best part of it, talking to you guys. Being the quarterback, you know that cameras are pointed at you and people want to talk to you. You have to be smart ? and know it comes with the territory.

It was real tough for me to miss that game for my guys. I want them to know they can count on me, so that was tough and that's why I try to be out there. But coach made the decision and all I could do was the best I could on the sidelines.

It's amazing. I just feel so blessed. To be able to come out and not play my best and still win... I feel blessed.

I just found that out, I didn't know he said that. But that's good when the coach says something like that. I've done everything I can. I really tried to step my game up to be the best that I can be for this team. I want them to know they can count on me when it's crunch time.

He's one of my best friends on the team, and we hang out all the time, so I know how excited he gets, ... Most people wouldn't know that because he's one of those guys who you have to know pretty well to get him to loosen up.
