Pacific has really impressed us. When Quincy Noble was there, they played what I thought was a pretty soft schedule. They would come into league with a glittering record and then not do so well. Coach Sprague has scheduled some really good teams, and they've fared very well, so I think Pacific looks like one of the most improved teams in the conference.

It feels good when people recognize the efforts that we're working for, but at the same time it's not something I say, that I want to be Big Ten player of the week. I just go out there and play and try to win and whatever happens happens.

It felt more natural to me. You come off the ball, make plays, run and hit. That's one thing I like to do. This is a real good move.

People have said things we've done good as well. But we've faced more adversity than anybody in the country and to still be standing here able to play for a championship at the end says a lot about who we are as people.

When we play defense with that kind of energy, we're as good a team as I've ever seen.

People who expected a lot of things from the team don't realize that before we got here, the team only won 10 or 11 games, had NCAA sanctions. And people wanted national championship success right away. We knew it wasn't going to be like that. We knew it was going to be a long grind and a process. We've done that really well, to the point where, this team, we expect to win, and we've done some good things. It's been a great ride.

We played very well on Tuesday and scored two very good goals. But we need to win in the league.

He's a big-time point guard. You don't have enough text in your newspaper to describe how good he is.

We almost laugh when somebody tries to drag bunt on Evan because it?s been money in the bank. He?s real good at that. And our shortstop is not a deep-in- the-hole guy, so Evan makes up for a lack of arm strength at shortstop with his range.

As a manager you're always disappointed to see good players leave but Jon is going to a good club and it really is a brilliant move for him.

Being a good free throw-shooting team has always been a point of emphasis for this program. We work on free throws in game situations as well. It is a big staple of this program.

Obviously, we're glad they're here and looking at us. We hope they find that we are a good fit for their conference. Joining a conference, that's obviously our goal.
