We fall into that habit sometimes of taking the shot after one pass. We have so many good 3-pointer shooters sometimes they think they have to take the shot right away. We like to play an up-tempo style and sometimes that?s going to happen. You have to take the bad with the good.
We failed to run our offense in the third quarter. For the rest of the game, I think we played at our pace. We didn't want to slow it down too much, just have some discipline.
We held them without a shot in the championship game, but couldn't seem to get the ball in the cage. I was pleased with how hard we played. I thought in both games we had a lot of intensity.
He's kind of like McFarland, but I think McFarland is a little more solid and physical. Osborne is a bit more of a finesse player.
I think that really benefits us. We just kind of find the hot guy at the time. Delaware County Christian really keyed defensively on Tyler, but he still managed to score 17 and a lot of other guys really hurt them.
I thought 25-19 was the worst it could have been for us at halftime. I really thought we could have been up a lot more.
I think from watching them on tape, they look to be a very good defensive team. It looks like all the kids play solid man-to-man defense.
That?s the way it?s been all season for us. One guy will get hot for a while and then another steps up and gets hot.
We played it for three quarters at the pace we wanted.
Trey did the same thing last year. He really came on at the end of the last season, too. I like the decisions he?s been making lately. They switched a lot on screens and when he had a big guy on him, he knew it. He took advantage (by driving to the basket).
Yeah, I was having a lot of flashbacks. What was our lead at one point? Nine and they came back to take the lead.
We are playing so different than we were a month ago. When we make a mistake now, we don?t compound it by making another or getting that deer-in-the-headlights look. We just keep playing.
We were worried about him a lot. We thought he could really hurt us.
We really buckled down on defense in the second half. We limited their second shots and contested most of their shots. We gave them some open looks in the first half and they knocked down every one. We did a better job of contesting the shots in the second half.
We expected almost anything from Upper Dauphin defensively. We ran a perimeter offense against it because Tyler feels more comfortable in it and he was getting some good looks.
They really seem to pressure the ball, so we should be able to run our stuff. Though if we shoot like we did on Tuesday, I think we prefer they play zone.
They really pressure the ball. Our guys were just taking advantage of what was there.
That kept us from spreading it out. But on the other hand, can you turn around and say we?d been any better with them in there? I mean, the kids who came in did a great job. ... If anything, (Ritzman and Johnson) might have gotten a little cold sitting there as long as they sat.
It seemed like every time we got it within a possession, somebody hit a basket for them.
He?s our zone buster. He can really light it up from that corner.
He told me to move him down into the post and get him the ball. He made the call and he responded.
I am more focused on this and what is ahead not about the other wins. The 250 wins is more of a testament to all the former players and teams I've coached.
The first game I thought was really a good game. They scored first on us and I thought we showed a lot of character.
