We're in uncharted times here, both for the economy and for the stock market. Some of the old rules just don't apply to global economics and to the global mechanism of how things are working.

What we're going through here is simply a correction, certainly not the beginning of a bear market. Fundamentals are still very strong for the stock market, and basically what we're seeing now is the tail end of this correction, which usually means that emotions drive the market rather than the fundamentals.

Many (tech and telecom stocks) are undervalued. If we have a period of slow growth followed by an acceleration in the economy, I think we could see money flow back, and the one thing that's been very consistent in this market is the rotation factor, ... It tells everyone money is not leaving the stock market.

Obviously the cell business is extremely hot in Europe and it's going to continue and it's going to grow in other parts of the world and I think a good supplier of that comes from Motorola ( MOT : Research , Estimates ) and again, the stock has absorbed a lot of negative news lately and it does seem to have made a bottom and it keeps bouncing off its lows. So that tells me that, you know, going forward things will change. We might encounter another quarter of bad news out of them but I think at these levels it should be bought.

Here is a classical story of a stock that is trading under book value. AT&T, the same thing. I believe it is up 4 or 5 points from its low and basically trying to stabilize at these levels, when it is all said and done, it still probably will be the leader of the pack. Again, a company selling under book value,

Long-term, the stock is a buy. It's a solid company and it had some troubles and I think a lot of that has already been discounted. So I continue to like Dell and buy in on pullbacks.

We are bracing for a weaker opening with a slew of data being released, ... Consumer confidence, inflation and of course, oil, will remain key indicators for the stock market.

Any time Philip Morris ( MO ) comes into some pressure, I like to accumulate it. I think we're looking at a stock that has a lot of value here. I think for investors that want a safe bet, Philip Morris is a great buy.

They recently got on to the Internet side of things, ... And as a result of that, I think we're going to see some pretty big names joining in with them and I think the stock is real cheap here. I'm looking for about $15 to $20 by year's end.

It might add to some short-term weakness, but it's not going to have any major effect. When you really analyze it, we had a good stock market in an era of gridlock.

Once everyone sifted through all the comments, the realization was that he hasn't changed his thoughts about the economy. He doesn't think the economy is ready to fall off a cliff, and that's basically a strong fundamental for the stock market.

Again, I think we're going to see a lot of revenue growth coming within the next quarter or so, and I believe that it's basically an infrastructure B2B for the Internet, where you can research engines, where you can create your own agents and what not, and management is doing a great job. I'm looking for this stock to really do quite nicely over the next six-to-18 months.

The lower oil prices go, the higher we may see the stock indexes moving this afternoon.
