'Veronica Mars' was my first job, and for some reason, my character changed her hairstyle halfway through the season from curly to - I don't even know why - suddenly straight.
My worst hairstyle was a bowl cut parted down the middle. It was the '90s. It was what you did. I had that from 4th grade until freshman year in high school. I'm glad the pictures exist. I had great hair back then.

She's probably had that same hairstyle since she was 21, and that's very important to her.
I'm always trying to push the envelope and go with a different hairstyle that you're not going to see on anybody else. I have a really good grade of hair, and I can do a lot of different things with it.
Girls don't think about putting it together as a whole, but it works for them. If you do end up with a modern hairstyle and a more romantic or lacy dress, it's okay. It's the way girls mix and match fashion. They'll probably think it's cooler anyway.
When I was doing 'Smile,' I was looking back at pictures of myself and going, 'Thank goodness I couldn't do the sprayed-bangs thing! Everybody's so embarrassed by that hairstyle now, but I was never cool enough to pull it off!'
A lot of the older folks at my church liked it better than the crazy hairstyle I had before. So far all of my friends have said it fits. I was worried I was going to have an oddly shaped head.
