Hopefully we can wrestle well there and get some confidence.
Hopefully we can wrestle a better match against him this time around. There are also two other kids that Justin has lost by two each. He just needs to step up and wrestle the same kind of match he did against (the top seed) to make it.
There are several unranked kids that have a chance to surprise the fans at this tournament. Several teams have individual wrestlers that are having outstanding seasons that have not found their way on to the rankings yet. It should make for a great tournament.
Luke is by far our most improved wrestler this season. He was in every match he lost up here, and both of the guys who beat him are going to place.
Just watching them wrestle . . . they have that aura about them. They've been there, they know what is going on and they know how to take charge. They will be tough for any of us to defeat.
Just wrestle under the name of 'wrestling' or pick some other creative name. Because as soon as you make it about the fact that it's people of short stature wrestling, that's when you're inviting the exploitation.
Josh and Lucas, these last couple weeks started to wrestle like they started this season. This was huge because it's a big confidence booster going into state.
Joe is a game day player. Having been a wrestler and having some success has helped him along the way. He's very tenacious. He knows how to stay in a match and win. He is getting better and better at putting more pace and depth on his shots.
Joe had the opportunity to wrestle at 189, but for the sake of the team he wrestled at 215 so a teammate could wrestle in the region. He could have had an easier time qualifying for the state at 189, but you have to admire someone who puts their teammates first.
We have a realistic chance to qualify as many as nine wrestlers for state if we wrestle to our abilities. We will need the others to win on the backside to help claim the district title.
