We have a very small staff here at the Nashville-area Red Cross, and we feel like it's important for everyone's security to have adequate security personnel.

We are in catastrophic response mode. This is on such a large scale, some of our standard operations are not in place right now.

The Red Cross always responds to domestic fires. We have volunteers that are on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It's hard to image the sense of loss that some of these people feel. In this case, there were a lot of small children affected.

Whatever we make, it's going back to God and to help people.

We help people find long-term housing solutions. We do help people getting back on their feet.

There's no better way to get to know each other than by spending 12 hours together.

Right now we're providing mass feeding and shelter throughout the Southeast.

There's a huge need in Middle Tennessee. We're expecting 1,000 people will be coming here to Red Cross shelters in the coming weeks.

It seems we always lose a student or a couple a year, but this is a very unfortunate string of events.
