The business community is in the best position to argue the need for workers. The unions are the best to argue why legalization is not just an issue of labor but of protecting workers.
But the churches brought the humanitarian perspective that to a large degree was forgotten. We know what that argument is, but the churches were the best to articulate that.
If they want to have their wall, fine. What we want is to make sure that we let immigrants in legally.
