We have served 373 families with almost 1,000 children, and we still have four days to go in our holiday program.
It seems to be that when people think about giving at Christmas time, we all want to make sure that children between the ages of two and 10 have the toys that make Christmas so magical. That is what we all want to see happen.
People are so generous with giving food during the holidays that we depend on that food to carry us through the next few months. Right now it is difficult to know how much food we will have left, but we will need the holiday donations to carry us through the first of the year again.
When it comes to teens, we have to work harder. Buying for teens is more difficult because you don't know what they want or what kind of clothes they like. That is why a $10 or $15 gift card really does make a wonderful gift.
