It was the pressure. This was the first time they had to be in a situation where we have a lot of good kids and there?s this many people watching, and there?s the pressure of the state meet. So they made little mistakes.
For Yvette to win she would have to hit her routines without mistakes.
That was pretty good for one major mistake and without our top two athletes healthy.
Yvette was outstanding. If Jessica and Kristy were healthy, it would be hard for them to beat her.
We had to work this year. Last year we had some pretty fast horses and any one of these athletes could win. But this year took more of a strategy, who?s gonna go when, who?s not. We need our best players at the end, but we also need them to be pressure ready.
They still have not come to terms with the fact that they are some of the team leaders. They just don?t know their value yet.
We went all-out; we didn't hold back. We have been training all year for two meets on back-to-back days. We weren't going to change the script.
I don?t think anybody?s good enough to make mistakes and still win.
