I put it in pretty simple terms. I asked him, 'Do you want to make two grand in the Minors or start out with $360,000 in the big leagues?' Those are terms that are pretty easy to understand.
He'll be fine. I'm one of a lot of people who think center is the easiest place to play in the outfield. You can see the swing and the ball off the bat. You get a true ball in center, with no hook or slice like you get in the corner positions.
The baseball gods owed us one, but I think we earned it, too.
We've played a lot of close games with these guys all year. And we seem to have come out on top in most of them.
