I want to thank the organization and players for giving me the opportunity to be involved in soccer. I assure you that the team will do everything they can to succeed and represent Laredo well.
The fan support is extremely important for a team. The connection the players make with fans and vice-versa serves as inspiration. It lifts the team, knowing that there is people cheering them on.
There is nothing set, I haven't made up my mind. I have an idea of who the 11 starters will be. But it's good because that means we have several players that have a shot.
We are on the correct path. I want the players to be football savvy on the field.
I loved that there was a blanket of red in the stands and that lots of people came out for the game. I wish more would have came, but this was one of the best crowds I've seen.
This is a team that I was allowed to build. The players will give their all in the field. I can assure you the players will play their hearts out. Our fans will see us playing to our optimum capacity.
The idea is to bring back the teams core group and build around them. We are looking to shore up the team.
Every game we play, we go looking for the win. We are looking for a balance and the more games we play the closer we'll get to achieving a balanced team.
Tonight's victory leaves me with a tranquil feeling. We did some things that were good and this will only help us get ready for our first game against Austin (April 29 in Laredo).
