Psychologically, we're at our best. The last two meets put us where we want to be. We really feel like this is going to be a great meet for us.
We also sent a message to Kent State with our performances. We have changed since the last time we faced them. We've earned a lot of respect from the conference.
Last week we had one fall that didn't count in our final score. Today we didn't even fall once. I can't say enough how big of a confidence boost that is.
Momentum is everything in every sport. And it just really showed up for us today. We were excited after the bars, instead of licking our wounds and being upset.
We had a good meet and I was very pleased with our effort and desire. We showed a lot of perseverance. Now the faith is back and now the belief is back.
The significance of this meet is more than just the last MAC meet. This is Western Michigan. This is always going to be exciting, no matter what sport it is.
This was an absolute great meet for us to end the (regular) season. We put fear into Western. It's not a comfortable position for them heading into the conference championship.
