Just based on training, I had pretty high expectations coming into this.

It felt really good. I was kind of hurting the last 100, but my splits stayed even the whole entire way. I was definitely happy with the way I split it and the way I swam it. And I was also happy with my time. It was my best time.

That was one of my top three times I've ever done, so at this point, I'm really happy with the way the race turned out.

It's happened to me a couple of times now: People go nuts when I'm at that stage in the race.

I'm not at the top quite yet. I don't have that world record, so that's going to drive me the next couple of months.

Hopefully I can break some records, get some medals.

I don't have a specific mantra; It's more about believing that I'm tough. I've been through a lot, and I'm not wiling to let myself get beat.

I told myself there was no way I was going to let this training go to waste. It was my time, and I was ready to go.
