Lawrie McKinna (born 8 July 1961) is a Scottish-Australian former football player, coach, and former Mayor of Gosford City Council. (wikipedia)
We handpicked the players to fit the culture and values we wanted. I wanted not just good players, but good people.
He just said how proud he was of the club and how far we've come from a humble start.
We had some great one touch football and we opened them up a few times and just that final pass let us down. Hopefully next week some of those stick.
Tommy was feeling a little tight yesterday at our recovery session, so we decided not to take any chances with him today. He'll be fine to train for the rest of the week.
Tommy knows he was down a bit in the first half but he is a quality player and showed what he is made of in the second half. I think you'll find he'll be right on his game from the start tomorrow.
I do believe we are good enough to cope with him.
Matthew has the potential to be a match winner and that's why were giving him every chance to play.
Overall I am just happy to get the win. Now we are looking forward to next week going to Perth.
When he came in he hadn't done anything for two and half months, so for the first week he was with us he was struggling a wee bit, but the last week, and today especially, he was flying... and he's back enjoying his football again.
We'll be back better and bigger next season.
