Our theory is if it's not broke, don't fix it.
They're more than customers; they are like friends and family. We've even had some second generations come in to have their rehearsal dinners here, the same place their parents had theirs.
My dad still comes up every day, so he's more like semi-retired. Mom still comes up a couple days a week to help clean or bread chicken.
Instead of rebuilding, they decided to try a restaurant. They helped them get started and were involved for a couple of years.
He ran it until 2001 and then retired.
