We're going to try some things this game we normally wouldn't try in a district game. We're going to try to win the game of course, but we're going to experiment with different combinations on the floor to match up with (Midland High).
I was proud of the way we played in the second half. We didn't do that many things better than in the first half, but we stayed tough.
We've played Amarillo each of the last three years in the tournament and we've never beaten them so that should serve as some motivation for us.
We can't catch a break, can't catch a call. Things aren't going our way. We've got to get out of this losing rut.
We got some people with some fouls so we had to use a lot more people off the bench and they all came to play.
We played better. We couldn't keep people in front of us in the first half. We had better defense the second half. We got off to a good start but we just couldn't keep it going.
I mean fourth-graders ought to be able to make 11 for 26 blindfolded. That's embarrassing.
I thought we came out really well offensively then we started to throw the ball away. We didn't read the defense and find the open man.
I think we kind of played lackadaisical in the second half. I think both teams had trouble scoring. Most of our offense in the first half came from our defense.
I think (the Rams) are as good as any team we've played this season. They just play so smart. Every player they have can shoot and pass the ball real well.
