This is a festival of found objects. Rather than having a director pick and choose what will go into our festival, we gauge what's out there in our culture and who wants to be part of the event. Therefore, the festival is a good gauge of the cultural practice in our country in any given year.

The venue deserves a late-night slot, and for that we've gone for Jimmy and a burlesque show and an almost-anything-goes comedy show with Jonathan Atherton.

What's happening is that zoning used to decide what a developer needed to do. Now it's only a start. There's a second list of requirements, meaning more time and more money.
