Early in the year, at one of the first big tournaments, the kids got our lunch handed to us. We decided to go for it and make the move. Sometimes if you drop too early, the kids can wear out. Instead, our kids picked up their intensity.

The most important thing is what did we learn from this experience. We made some big strides (Friday), and hopefully we kept learning (Saturday).

Any time you get bonus points, it is going to help out. I guess we couldn't get enough of them. We knew they were tough up top, and they showed it.

That's a great program with a great tradition. But our kids had a great week of preparation. They made some sacrifices to make sure they were competitive.
