Earth Day used to be huge 15 or 20 years ago, and the goal of the Green Apple is to elevate Earth Day again.

They took the largest, wealthiest black county and reduced it to a stereotype of a poor, dangerous black neighborhood. And the irony is the neighborhood isn't even a poor black neighborhood.

At every venue there will be environmental information distributed and chances for people to get involved with environmental groups. There's no reason why you can't go out and have fun, have a beer and get a little education.

The Green Apple Music & Arts Festival was created to raise the visibility and awareness of Earth Day. What better way to celebrate Earth Day than to bring it to every major music venue in New York?
