What has happened over the past seven years of peace process is that ... the unionist community has walked further and further away and presented the agreement as a betrayal of their rights and freedoms.
The Protestant community is essentially quite conservative and the unionist leadership seems to have been unable to explain changes to them.
Protestants look around and they can't locate a peace dividend.
Quite clearly, what you have here is a politics of fatalism, a community that sees itself as not being listened to.
Quite clearly there are issues, but the problem comes when you say, 'It's because I'm a Protestant,' ... real men work in hard jobs.
