We are not surprised by anything. This isn't the same old Dolphins. Last year's Dolphins would have lost this game, but this is a new team and a new day.

We're not playing not to lose. We're playing to win. When you do that, you're a dangerous team.

When you get like that, you're a dangerous football team. When you know these guys, there's four minutes left in the game, but they're still going deep on us, that feels good. That lets the league know we're coming after you.

And when somebody always tells him to do something, he does it without asking why.

It's a lot better because we didn't know who the starter was going to be until the Thursday before the first game. Right now, we know who's going to be the guy on September 11, which is Gus, unless something else happens.

It's not fun, but it's a part of the job. It's training camp and you are in Miami, Florida. You know what to expect when you are down here ... because it's going to be there no matter where you go.

Stick with somebody. It's not college. You can't keep having the quarterback shuffle, because that's only going to destroy the offensive chemistry.

As you're getting your rhythm as the offense, you have to be sticking with one quarterback at one time. It's so hard if they're shuffling quarterbacks within the unit. So I think with Gus as our No. 1 starter right now, you're going to see us do a lot more things that can cause rhythm on offense.

I'm not going to let it rattle me. I don't think my penalty cost us the game by any means, but if you want to write it whatever, I could live with it.

I'm not worried about that. I love J.T. out there because he's a phenomenal player. I think J.T. can do everything on the football field he wants.

Before every game, he gives us a powerful poem that somebody wrote, and it relates to the football game that we're about to play, or what we've built toward that whole week. Stuff you wouldn't think about.

He's the guy we have to rally behind. Right now, Gus is doing a good job.

He's right there with us. He felt that loss just like we did. That's just such a good feeling. He's our general, and when you see your general hurting the way he was hurting -- not saying (former coach) Dave (Wannstedt) wasn't like that -- but it just makes you feel like this guy's a part of us.

You could just tell the difference between the old regime and the new regime. We're not going to sit on the ball with eight minutes left and try to run the ball out and rely on our defense to win the game for us. We went out there aggressive.
