There are only 18 months remaining before we are in action in St Kitts. This is a fantastic opportunity for eight of our most likely lads to stake their claim for attention. But they will need to work hard to make the best of this unprecedented initiative.

Our bid is primarily about legacy and development. Obviously we can't compete with England, India and Australia when it comes to money and ground size, but it would be huge in terms of development of our game.

We won't lose anything financially. The biggest loss for us was not having the game played and the exposure on TV. The loss for us was the missed opportunity to play against Australia.

We would be delighted to share our experiences with our colleagues south of the border.

Besides hoping for a full day's cricket, we do stand to make money from ancillary areas such as food and drink if we have a full attendance. The less play there is, the less we will make.
