With this being the only game for us this week, I don't know whether they got comfortable or what. Hats off to Lemon Bay though, they came out ready to play.

She took a great angle. We've been stressing that. Early on in the season we weren't taking great angles ... The kids can play defense, we just need our bats to catch up. We need to get confident at the plate.

She shows no emotion on the mound. I can't read her. I don't think her dad (who calls her pitches from the sideline) can read her.

She's a leader all the way through, on and off the field.

One of my quotes for the girls today was, 'Leave your silver platters at home, because we're not giving them anything. Then we gave up the first one ... I reminded them to put their silver platters away.

Jessica pitched a great game. Getting that first win will hopefully kick-start her the rest of the season.

Our pitcher wasn't focused -- we had too many walks, and hitting-wise, we weren't there. It's one of those games where you get away as quick as you can.

We needed somebody to come in there and stop them. And what she did was huge.

We've been having some problems with our hitting, but we're working on that. Again, our pitching and defense have pulled us through. Jessica always pitches well for us.

We only had 10 girls for a couple of games. It went through the whole team.

Courtney made some great plays for us tonight. She chased down two of them that probably prevented runs.

Our defense is definitely our strong point. Hats off to Southeast. They hit the ball hard a few times ... That play to end the game -- that was a shot.

Any team that you let stick around, there's a chance they'll come back and get you. And that almost happened tonight.

They're both tough as nails. I'm glad we have more than one pitcher. We don't have to rely on one arm the entire season ... and you're a little more relaxed going into each game, knowing that if one of them gets in trouble, the other is always there.

It just shows you how funny this game is. You can not get a hit and still be in the game if your pitching and defense does well.

It was just one swing of the bat, and it easily could have been us. I was telling their coaches I wish it was the championship so both teams could move on.

Once they decided they were going to make that change, they went to their pitching coaches and started pitching from that distance. It hasn't been a big deal pitching or offensively.

It's nice when they pull together to help someone.

These are high school girls and I said it's not over until the last out.
