These books are the students' very own to keep. This is a great program encouraging the children to read and build a home library.

These books are donated either by businesses that sponsor the entire month or a collection of donations from parents with smaller donations. We even had one of our junior teachers sponsor everyone herself for Christmas.

Teachers incorporate journal writing to expand comprehension. Throughout the month, the students are encouraged to draw pictures and write essays to decorate the bulletin board outside the principal's office.
