VW had very strong earnings in the fourth quarter, but it was not only the numbers that were good -- overall, the tone is more optimistic now than after the third quarter.

The decisive thing for the development of VW shares in the next few days is whether and at what price Porsche can acquire the 13 percent of shares that VW holds itself.

There's nothing wrong in the quarterly results. They just happened to come on a day when the dollar is weaker, which is not helping.

It's a little bit more than I thought, but it's also not clear if they will get to that number.
