It was just a lot of fun. Every single kid played. Everybody, when they were in there, did something -- whether it was a dig, hit or getting a hand on a ball. Nobody on this team is an all star, but as a group they function. They're the epitome of team.
You coach patience and tell the girls to stay focused. But, we were playing a strong pitcher. You could tell that she was the core of their team.
Our defense was the name of our game.
We benefited from consistent serving. We're a thinking team. We're conscious about where we put the ball. I have a lot of players who've played long enough they know that part of the game.
It's good to be in a tournament like this. You don't have that much pressure because there's not something like a conference title on the line. That's good.
To me, Memorial is a team you have to respect. They don't play the score.
