We're so small, everyone has to be involved in everything. These are all volunteers. No one gets a dime and they're spending their own money on gas and babysitters as well as other donations to the play.

We still won't have had the whole cast practice together up until three weeks before production.

Usually I order six to eight books and pick out something. Some years it's hard and other years something just jumps out. I put a little time in casting. I try to get the personality to fit an actor. Sometimes I read a play and know who belongs to a role right away. And, I've done a lot of begging in the last 20 years.

This was something people could enjoy and not have to spend a lot of money on.

When I asked for participants, their first response was 'yes.' It was awesome.
