Our kids are ready for this weekend. This gives us a great chance to face some of the same teams we will face at the NCAA Championships. They're ready to perform well and hopefully shoot some great scores.
Overall it was a positive weekend. We shot well, but came up just short against a very good Army team. We were without one of our best shooter, Shannon Wilson , but I was proud of Casey and Natasha, because they stepped up in her absence and gave us great depth.
Shannon shot fantastic today. To finish second in the nation is an amazing accomplishment. She worked so hard for this and we are very proud of her.
We started great in the morning relays. We just didn't finish as well as we started. We were close on several points, we just came up short.
We couldn't finish on what Shannon started. I am not sure if it was nerves or what, but we just didn't perform like we have in the past. We need to come out tomorrow and give it our best.
We're very excited to bring the conference championships back to Ole Miss and to get a chance to showcase our facility, which I think is one of the finest in the nation.
I see a few weaknesses we have to improve before the NCAA Championships. We need to focus on our pressure training. We know what we have to do.
I'm so proud of the team and their efforts. They really deserve this success. We've worked very hard for this opportunity, and we finally put it all together.
Jennifer is just a fantastic competitor. She had a great day of shooting. She just came one point short of winning the conference.
I am very proud of Shannon. She has worked very hard for this, and it is a great ending to a great season.
