It is our position that the six-way talks cannot be resumed amid challenging U.S. sanctions.
It is impossible to resume the six-party talks under such provocative sanctions applied by the U.S. upon the DPRK. This is the stand of the DPRK.
The key reason why the six-party talks have not made substantial progress is that the United States remains unchanged in its hostile policy toward the DPRK, blocking the settlement of the nuclear issue.
Unless the U.S. gives up its double-dealing attitude toward the six-party talks and hostile policy toward the DPRK, the resumption of the talks and the settlement of the nuclear issue cannot be expected.
The prospect of the resumption of the talks entirely depends on the U.S. behavior.
