It's like a boxing match. We win a game up there and they train a little harder to play against us down here. The next time we play them we will train harder.
We've still got time to turn things around. It's a long year. Getting that home-ice advantage would be huge for us and we want to earn it.
Like many places across the country, Wisconsin lost more than 100,000 jobs from 2008 to 2010. Unemployment during that time topped out at over 9%.
The voters in Wisconsin elected me last year for the third time because they wanted someone who aimed high, not aimed low. Before I came in, the unemployment rate was over eight percent. It's now down to 4.6 percent.
Obviously they don't take losing at home very well, because it seems like every time we beat them there, they come back and beat us here. It's like a boxing match. You get a guy once and you know he's going to come back stronger and harder.
Let this be our time in history so that someday we can tell our children and grandchildren that we were there, that we changed the course of history for the better.
They haven't been able to maintain a strong message out of Iraq. That sucked a fair amount of public confidence out. It's no one big thing, but these nips and cuts along the way have taken time away from the bigger focus they should be having.
