I was under contract with Hitchcock before I even met him. They wouldn't tell me anything about the film, or who was working on it. They had all sorts of excuses as to why they couldn't tell me anything.
The female characters that Hitch would choose-he would take these women and try to tear them down, with basically the man's control. She would not want to give in, and he would insist upon it.
it is exactly right in so many ways. Hitch was all about the chase with his blondes. I don't think he ever wanted to - how will I say? - culminate the chase.
I use every single thing that Alfred Hitchcock taught me in my acting career... I am very grateful for the education he gave me in making motion pictures.
Hitchcock had a very strange mind.
