That is the first blocked punt I've ever had I mean ever. I just came through free between the guard and the snapper and just blocked it. On the fumble, I stripped it but at first I was mad because I thought I had missed the tackle.

There's that concern that when they enter the field, they're not going to have the skills a graduate five to 10 years ago had.

I definitely felt like I had to get back out there. I had the one carry where I got hit in the knee, and that was a fumble. I didn't want to go out like that. I wanted to get back in there and show what I could do.

These girls in middle school had a couple of opportunities to play against them as well. They had a reputation coming up through middle school. So, our girls are pretty familiar with them. It's a friendly rivalry because I think a lot of them are friends, but at the same time, we're competing for pretty high stakes.
