I think we need a bit more effort. Well, I know we need a bit more effort out there. I think that (the Wings) had some bounces that we didn't have. They had some good bounces, but we've got to put a bit more effort out there to have a shot to beat one of those teams, one of the top three or four (squads) in the league.

We have to come out with a bit more intensity than we did. We have to be smarter with the penalties. After a while, it's going to bite us, and it did there in the second period. We can't continually keep doing that. If we can come out with great intensity and play disciplined, then we've got a great shot.

You still want to play your position. But if you see an opening, you do have the green light to jump in and (try to score). You don't want to make a habit out of it every shift, though. You still want to play your position because you know your (defensive) partner is probably going to be thinking the same thing as you (and try to score).

I loved the energy (on defense). It seemed like we had our thinking caps on. We didn't give them many chances, and the chances that they did, (St. Pierre) really took care of them.
