We're in the ballpark. None of us likes the idea of a tax increase. But at the same time, we're trying to make sure we're finding the means to provide the best services we can. When I walk the district, people say over and over again that they want more police officers.

I also saw two rainbows, driving home from Dover just before 4 p.m.. It was pretty spectacular. All of a sudden the sun was trying to break through the clouds, and then, 15 minutes later, it was another downpour. By the time I got home to Salem, we had sleet and hail. I think Bode has talked to the media, maybe more than he should. I think he's trying to balance it all out and figure it out. He's always looking for the limits, whether it's in ski racing or dealing with the media and certainly he's going to push the boundaries.

We are trying to bring people together to connect the dots. As a community we need to work together to resolve these issues.

We are still trying to learn about ourselves and are trying to build on these last few matches and see what we can accomplish. We are trying to be a better team each time we go out there.

Sometimes you'll see Derrick and guys are on him and you got man coverage on Deon. He's gonna get open. People are gonna have a lot of trouble trying to cover our receivers this year.

This is truly a detective story. We had events occur. We're trying to collect information today and project back to see what has caused this event.

The biggest thing that he's spoken of is really trying to get his focus in all this disciplines, that's been a challenge.

It's difficult to do well when you can't have home meets and take pride in where you're at. As a coach, it's hard to sell them on what we're trying to do in training and as a team.

You could easily buy a year-old model and those are the ones they are really trying to get rid of. Unless you're doing complicated graphics or something, most of us don't need the latest model.

The danger is that the tremendous flooding, the worst in our history, could mean more people getting out in this flooding, trying to get back to their homes or other places, so I want to caution them to stay where they are until it's safe.
