It's an election year, it's an Arab country, and there's a post-9/11 insecurity they can exploit. It's a lethal brew, and they're stirring it for all it's worth.

And the reason why people are afraid is because leadership led them down this path, it exploited the fear, the concern, and it used an Arab bogeyman to do it.

We see Arabs as an objectified problem. We see the culture as less than ours, we see them as more violent than we are.
