Except for Pine Island, we have the smallest area in District 9 to draw kids from.
These kids have a lot of heart and a lot of determination. We have a solid chance to go deep into state. Right now, we're finding out things we need to work on and fix mistakes to get us over the top.
It was a tough game. The kids played hard. (Rogers) just had more speed than we do. We made a lot of mistakes in the back. They caught us flat-footed and made us pay for them.
We wanted to make a record that challenged kids to listen to it from beginning to end. We wanted them to sit with headphones on and listen to it and read the lyrics, go back to the way it used to be.
It's a bummer, ... because we get so many emails from young kids saying stuff like, 'It's Boys Night Out, not Unisex Night Out!' It's frustrating, but we realized when we started writing that we wanted to make a record that would make us happy.
