Tis Apollo comes leading / His choir, the Nine. / The leader is fairest, / But all are divine.
It means nothing to me. I have no opinion about it, and I don't care.
Inscribed on the temple of Apollo
Apollo was held the god of physic and sender of disease. Both were originally the same trade, and still continue.
Long ago Apollo called to Aristæus, youngest of the shepherds, Saying, "I will make you keeper of my bees." Golden were the hives, and golden was the honey; golden, too, the music, Where the honey-makers hummed among the trees.
It's too bad, but the way American people are, now that they have all this capability, instead of taking advantage of it, they'll probably just piss it all away.
In sculpture did ever anybody call the Apollo a fancy piece? Or say of the Laocoon how it might be made different? A masterpiece of art has in the mind a fixed place in the chain of being, as much as a plant or a crystal.
