It was a great time to grow up in Chicago. It was the mid-80s, and we had the 85 Bears and the Michael Jordan era.
Jordan Wilson pitched the first four-plus innings. He struck out four, but he walked seven and six of those were hit batters. Four of those scored.
Jordan went down to visit Florida, and they did a great job on the visit. His host was (current Grizzly player Anthony) Roberson, and he loved him. He had a really good relationship with Roberson. So when he came back, he was really leaning that way.
Jordan was pretty special again. He kind of took over. He hit four threes, had seven assists and a bunch of steals. That's just the way he plays.
Jordan was masterful down the stretch at handling the ball and really doing a good job for us.
Jordan was feeling a little flat out there. I'm not sure why. We'll sort that out. We've been working pretty hard.
Jordan was always first to arrive, last to leave, ... Great God-given ability, but he worked. The only athlete I've seen that matched Jordan's drive was Alonzo Mourning.
Jordan understands we needed her. When she gets her feet set, she is going to knock some down.
Jordan told me, 'Mom, I love watching you play. You're going to be MVP.' This is for him.
Jordan Stokes is a great player, one of the best players in the North in the 3A. We felt like (Norman's) type of athleticism and the way he plays the game would match up well with Stokes.
