I don't really look at celebrities as role models - I just don't see them like that. I guess it's because I'm in that world so I know that no one is perfect.
America Ferrera is definitely one of my biggest role models, and she has been for the last three years. Like a big sister, someone I can look up to and aspire to be.
I'm aware of the decisions I make and the responsibility I have as a role model. I wouldn't disregard that.
I make many mistakes. Many mistakes. I'm not a perfect human being. I have to learn from my mistakes. And a lot of the ones I've made have been public. So I always get nervous when people speak about something that sounds like a role model, because I don't know if I've been a great role model myself.
If you look at me as a role model, I agree with it. If you look at me as an idol, I don't because an idol for me is someone that you want to replicate. You want to be them and I don't wish that on anyone to lose what they have personally, because that's when your spark is lost.
Hilary Duff has been my role model forever. I went to her concert like right when her music started coming out when I was probably like 11. I was just amazed by her. So now, to be compared to her, it's like...holy moly. It's so cool!
I kind of take Hilary as a role model because she started out at about the same age, she hadn't done much before starting her series, and I haven't either.
People focus on role models; it is more effective to find antimodels - people you don't want to resemble when you grow up
I also dreamt about finally meeting the leftist Slovenian philosopher Slavoj Žižek. He is a great role model for me.
Miranda Lambert! She not only has amazing music, but she is an awesome role model for females and rescues lots of animals!
