I love skating so much and I feel like every time I step out onto the ice, that's what I'm meant to do.

The most important thing about skating is that it teaches you to do the things you should do before you do the things you want to do.

In skating or any amateur sport, as athletes we share something in common: the cost of training is quite a burden on our parents or on the athletes themselves trying to find a way to pay for their costs.

My hockey is good, but my ice skating is terrible. It's a bit of a mess to watch!

While I circled around and around in my brown rental skates, I studied a group of skaters spinning in the center. I was fascinated! When my mom picked me up, I began a campaign for skating lessons.

I've never been invited to do 'Stars on Ice' before, which is the only figure skating tour in the U.S., and it's disappointing that I can't perform for my American fans... all because I'm not 'family friendly' enough.

Classic music will always come across better on the ice because skating has such a rich history, rooted in tradition.

Skating was popular, but it wasn't mainstream. It had this underground following, and you could go on tours, win decent prize money, and make royalties from signature products - that's how I came to buy a house when I was a senior in high school.

I never ever wanted to change my sport... Figure skating was my outlet, it was my breath, it was how I could live and transmit everything I was feeling and everything I had worked for and given up and all these sacrifices I'd made throughout the years. It was how I could make them all worth it.

We are preparing for every game to play our game. We have to be skating for three periods to be successful and when don't skate we are not a good team.

When you think about these single distances championships and these World Cup races, people can make a career out of skating one or two distances.

We've beaten them before and we've played pretty good against them. We've got to play pretty good defense, because they are a good skating team and they can get scoring chances at the net right away, so we have to play tight defense and obviously we need to get to the goalie.

When I was little, I had never really expected to win such a big competition. For a long time, just skating in the Olympics had been my goal because not many Koreans had done it.

We're in very good shape as far as skill, experience and skating ability there.

If I had never won a single medal, I'd still be skating in a rink somewhere. There wouldn't be an audience or camera flashes or autograph seekers, but I'd still be skating.

We tried this because in the past, nobody knew who they'd be skating with. There just wasn't any chemistry. So if we run this the rest of the season, it will help develop chemistry.

We're a pretty good skating team. We have to be able to anticipate extremely well, and we have to put ourselves in a position where we don't hurt ourselves around the rink. If we're caught out of position and we're giving up speed to boot, then we're at a distinct disadvantage.

The fact is this looks like they are skating on pretty thin ice and whether they are going to be suspected of obstructing justice will have to be decided.

We have skating all night long, with great music. Mixed in with the skating, we have games, such as red light-green light, four corners and the cha-cha slide. We also do other activities like kickball, shoot-the-puck and relay races.

When I grew up we had gym at school, two or three dance classes after school, ice skating lessons, and all sorts of sports at our finger tips. We weren't glued to computers because they didn't exist, so being active was all we knew.

When we skate like that for three periods, we're extremely happy. We had tendencies earlier in the year to slow down or take a period off. (Tuesday) we skated hard all three periods and got all four lines involved. When we're skating (like that) teams don't know our first line from our fourth.

There are two indoor skating rinks in Polk County, and both of them are in Urbandale. Can we all agree that we don't need any more ice?
