I am feeling really good going into the tournament. We dedicated the first two weeks of our preseason to exposing the players to quality teams with different styles of play.

What a roller-coaster ride. We seemingly had the game under control, but almost gave it away. But I have to give the team credit. They never quit. In the past two games, we were forced to sit out some key players due to injury, illness and card problems. I am very proud of the way the team bounced back from all that adversity.

We have struggled a bit offensively. We were able to assess our level of play in comparison with an outstanding offensive team like Athens, which only lost one game the whole season.

We got there, but we couldn't get the chance to finish. They are fast, but everybody's going to be fast and frenzied at this stage. But the thing is when we get our opportunity, we just could not do it. There was a wide open goal that went wide. We just did not have that finishing ability today.

There are many good things coming from a loss like that. It helped us recognize our weaknesses so we can work hard and get them fixed before the playoffs come around.

I am pleased with the team's performance. They played very well and continue to show improvement. We just need to be more composed when we're under offensive pressure in the latter part of the game, but that will come when we get more experience.

For the most part, we controlled the tempo of the game. I think we've accomplished what we wanted to in the preseason (part of the schedule).

I'm sure they're all fired up. I think we're ready. The kids are all ready to go, and we don't have any serious injuries, just some nicks.
