We were trying to get to the free throw line at the end of the (second) half. We couldn't get there.

That's great for Plano. It shows how much basketball talent we have in Plano.

There's a lot more attention being given to board leadership than there was a couple of years ago. We've seen with the corporate scandals and crisis in investor confidence an increased attention to the monitoring function of the board.

This is a very resilient team. You have to give the girls credit for not getting down early. The confidence we have is such a nice thing. We feed off each other.

They're both top 10 teams. Bowie and Duncanville can beat each other on any given night. That district is probably the best one in (Class) 5A.

It's good when everyone gets a chance to play and everyone scores.

I could tell we were still tired from (Thursday's) game. Now it's time to see how we deal with this adversity.

You can't get down in this district. We started 0-2 and that makes it hard. You can't ever give up.
