I was encouraged by our hitting and pitching today. We had a couple of poor defensive mistakes, but we put the ball in play and pitched well. We just had a couple of defensive lapses, which may not have been the reason we lost, but certainly contributed.

Our defense should be very good and if our offense steps up and we are able to score runs we should be able to compete with everybody.
