Our day was mixed. We wrestled well, but we made some mistakes that cost us some matches.

Curran's make a good progress. He's a freshman and put into a pressure cooker like that, he did a great job.
champions great national oklahoma state tough year
I think Oklahoma State has a great team, and they've had a great run. (The Big 12 championships) have always been a tough tournament, and a lot of the national champions come out of this tournament. I don't think this year will be any different.
best bring five guys possibly represent wrestle
We have to wrestle the best we can possibly wrestle to get a trophy, but it's possible. We've got five guys who will represent us very well. We're in it to bring back some hardware.

He's a byproduct of the Cyclones, so we'll have our work cut out for us. Any time we meet people that have our people in their program, it's going to be difficult.

Trent will be OK. There is no reason to risk anything when the Big 12 meet is two weeks away.

Missouri wrestled the way they had to to win, and we didn't. There were some close matches that could have gone either way and, unfortunately, they didn't go our way. This was a very hotly contested meet and those people will all see each other again.

We're sending a very strong lineup. These five people carried our team all year and now they have a chance to earn national titles. They all have experience and know what to do to achieve success.
good job problem tactics work
We've got to do a better job of tactics and technique. Our problem is controlling the tie-up, and we're getting better at it. The only way you get better at it is to work at it and get good competition.

We're outmatched in most weight classes. We've got to fight for every point. Our main mission is to score points and see what we're going to have to do to get to the national tournament. In order to get there, we've got to go through either Oklahoma or Oklahoma State.

We need to get back in the saddle after the Midlands, and this is perfect timing for us. Tom Brands will bring a team that will compete. We'll need that type of intensity and competition to get ready for the rest of the season.

We came close, but Joe has made a world of progress. In the third period he could have stalled his way through the match but got countered while taking another shot. That is the only way you can get better in the long run.
chasing cowboys good needed program
We're all chasing the Cowboys now and our program needed a lift. We feel good about this group.
