coming fate fewer good knew obstacles talent winning
I was fortunate. A lot of it has to do with fate. I knew coming in we had a good talent base. And that this is a good organization. But there were fewer obstacles to winning here than I thought there would be.
ball believes coming defense guy offense running seems win year
But this year in the league, defense and running the ball seems to be the key. And this is coming from a guy who believes offense is the way to win a championship.
crack losing nut start stopping streak third tough win
When you're 0-2, your whole world has to be about getting that first win and stopping that slide. A two-game losing streak to start the season, it can't get to that third game. That's a tough nut to crack if it does.
group men moral prouder victories win
There are no moral victories in the NFL. You win or you lose. We lost, but I've never been prouder to be part of a group of men than these guys.
added board building draft guy next offense ranked spent team top unless wind
We spent next year's No. 1 to get a guy who was ranked 10th on our board this year, ... What's that worth? Unless we wind up in the top 10 of next year's draft -- and we think we're going to a better team than that -- we can live with that price. This building is pumped. We've added to our offense and our defense, and we've got a quarterback we can build around.
winning nfl england
If Russell Wilson gets outside of the protection and can scramble around, New England loses. If the Patriots keep him in the pocket, New England wins.
anybody denver excited heard last listened pulled week win
They pulled clips from our last win here, and after the Denver game. We were excited to win those. Give us that. But anybody who listened to me all week long has heard me say nothing tasteless, nothing classless, and nothing disrespectful of the Titans. I didn't do it.
aggressive arguably best deal free next people player rewards risk step super taking team win
Some people like what he does, some people don't. We were being very aggressive about taking the next step for this team to win a Super Bowl, by recognizing what we were going to have to deal with in what was arguably the best player in free agency. Rewards are usually proportional to the risk you take. Yeah, this is a risk.
pivotal road success winning
Winning on the road is pivotal to success in the NFL, and that's something we have to address.
ask challenges group proud shooting solid step team win
It was just a real solid win for us. Under those circumstances, all you can really ask a group to do is step up to the challenges it has and play a team that is shooting for the playoffs, and I'm very proud to be a part of a group like this.
anger angst close coaches couple fans matched players win
The frustration, the angst -- anger, if you will -- of the fans right now is matched only by the coaches and the players and the organization. It's very frustrating, very angering to not play better, to not do a couple of those things that you have to win in a close game.
agency collective confident free improve next raise
Our collective mind-set is to improve this team. We'll keep doing this through the draft, free agency and in other ways. It's a disappointment to not get T.O., but I'm confident in our abilities to raise the Ravens to the next level.
best essence football last playoffs says since super talk team work
I think we're a better football team than we were last year, in every sense, ... This could very well be the best football team we've had since I've been here, which in essence says that we think we are capable, playoff, Super Bowl-caliber team. However, we did not make the playoffs last year. We don't have the right to talk in those terms. We've got a lot of work to do.
fairly
I think we've done things fairly intelligently. We've rebuilt without drastically slipping back at any one point.
