boston die eventually father history ill miles mom moved pan sick success sure thereafter tough
It was a tough time. My father was ill and shortly thereafter my mom got sick (both would eventually die of cancer). I moved 3,000 miles away, going to Boston with all the history and success they were having. I wasn't sure how things would pan out.
hit leave mark meant player score special
It meant as much to me to give a big hit as it did to score a big goal. And to leave a mark for being that kind of player is special to me.
gemini goals hit meant score split strictly

appreciate fact factor game help honor huge impact maybe numbers people played proud recognized style team

Numbers to me were never really an important factor of how I can help our team win. So to me, to have the recognition of the way I played and maybe have people kind of appreciate the fact of the way I played was a huge honor for me.

call finish found jim needless returned selection
I returned the call (and it was Jim Gregory of the selection committee) and found out I'd been selected. Needless to say, I didn't finish the round. I put birdies down for the 17th and 18th holes.
