I got off to a perfect start. I birdied the first three holes. It's just great when you're defending and start well and be in contention again.

Every day you're going to see people shooting low scores. If I can keep shooting 5 or 6 under, it's going to be tougher for them to try to catch me.

I've played with Michelle a few times and it's amazing that she is such a great player at such a young age. It's going to be good for women's golf, but she is also going to have to cope with lots of pressure.

I've come close to victory here in the past so it's good to come back to a course where I have a bit of confidence.

That gave me a lot of confidence and then I just started to chase more birdies. The key was that I drove the ball really well and hit a lot of good approach shots and I really only made one long putt.

Neither of us was doing very well so we decided to pay for $10 a birdie,

It was really tough out there. I felt I played well enough, but it was so windy and the course is playing very long.
