My family has been incredible. They've been the rock that has helped me through the season. A lot of what I do out on the competition floor is for all three of them.
I had in my mind going into this season that I would have my mom with me, but it would most likely be just in my heart and I would have her watching over me. But to actually have her there for me to actually see, to see her up in the stands, holding my sign, it's an amazing feeling.
I think both of us have agreed that we probably wouldn't have made it as far in our careers without knowing each other. She'll help me in the gym whenever I need help and she knows how I work and I know how she works, so we've kind of gotten to that point in our careers together.
When you go out against a team that is ranked in the top 10 and you end up beating them and focusing in and doing your job, it's really encouraging.
Seeing my mom and dad and aunt every weekend really helps because we all talk about it and deal with it in our own way. Just basically help her celebrate what's left of her life and make sure she's happy and always smiling through.
He said that was them being pretty conservative, but if she made it past January, only plan week-to-week. They said we could still take her to all the meets that they were capable of going to.
I couldn't have asked for any better way to go out. Obviously making it to Super Six would have been great, or making it as an individual would have been great, but I went out and hit the best routines that I have hit all year.
